We are offering a one day training conference for mentors this autumn. Mentor Advance promotes the continuing professional development and character forming of the many trained spiritual mentors. The overall aim is to invest in mentors through empowerment, ongoing practical and creative training, and providing space for networking.

Aims for the conference:

  • To provide training for Christian mentors
  • To promote networking Christian mentors nationally
  • To facilitate personal space for mentors to reflect
  • To provide a thoughtful space for mentors to be reflexive about the way they mentor and ask questions
  • To be a hub of rich resource material

We’ll be running seminars covering the following areas:

  • Being a relevant mentor in a postmodern world
  • Self-awareness in prejudice and belief systems
  • The challenge of conflict and boundaries
  • Exploring how and why change happens for mentees
  • Time for mentors to reflect on personal skills and network with other mentors

There will also be a plenary session answering your questions and inviting discussion topics.

This conference is for mentors who have completed at least a certificate in mentoring, a Mentor Connect training day, or other similar training.
